CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) -- As another atmospheric river prepares to douse the Bay Area this week, Contra Costa County officials are preparing for the flooding and damages the storm may bring. The rain is supposed to move into the area by Thursday and continue on through the rest of the week. County officials said they have been clearing storm drains, catch basins, roadside ditches, monitoring and maintaining flood control channels and stocking sandbag stations in preparation for the storm, and are encouraging residents to do the same. On Tuesday night, city supervisors voted against one supervisor’s proposal to add fentanyl crimes to the list of reasons to arrest undocumented immigrants.Supervisor Matt Dorsey was the only one in favor of allowing police to target undocumented immigrants they believe to be linked to dealing fentanyl. The man is already in jail accused of trying to run over a person with his car. PITTSBURG, Calif. (KRON) -- A pedestrian was killed in a crash outside of Black Diamond High School on Tuesday, the Pittsburg Police Department confirmed.PPD officers were dispatched to Stoneman Avenue near Meadowbrook Circle and Loveridge Road for a crash.
