It's peak Peep season, but the company that produces the candies is coming under fire from Consumer Reports for its use of a particular dye.In a press release issued earlier this week, the consumer advocacy organization said a number of Peeps candies, including the iconic pink marshmallow chicks and bunnies, are made with Red Dye No. 3. Hopefully, the data in this post will help you better understand whether your CBD oil is a “good bargain.”How Much Should People Expect To Pay On CBD Oil?When customers evaluate the value of a CBD supplement, they try to figure out how much one milligram of CBD costs. Generally, anything under $0.10 per mg of CBD could be considered a “cheap rate.” Pr...

Cindy ChavezAfter losing the race for San Jose mayor last fall and facing term limits next year, the Santa Clara County supervisor is reportedly a front-runner for county administrative officer in San Diego, a job that would double her salary.   Lassen CountyRural county in northeastern California sees a 6% drop in population from 2021 to 2022, according to the U.S. Census, the largest of any county in the state, due to young people leaving, a prison closing and old people dying.   Public schoolsStatewide K-12 enrollment fell by 40,000 students this year, increasing the risk of teacher layoffs and schools closing. A recent court ruling upholding the employment rights of Bay Area residents who hold a special visa for spouses of skilled foreign workers has relieved long-standing uncertainty aggravated by the pandemic and the Trump administration.Late last month, a federal court judge threw out a lawsuit that sought to strip work authorization from an estimated 90,000 visa holders. These H-4 visa holders, the spouses of those with H-1B work visas, are mostly women from India, with a large contingent in the Bay Area.“When this case was going on,” said Pratima Joglekar, an assistant in an immigration-law firm, who lives in Fremont, “it was like a cloud hanging over our heads.”That cloud, with its potential to dramatically disrupt lives and careers, also gave employers pause, visa holders said, and the end of the court case has increased H-4 workers’ employability and added a measure of certainty for companies that invest in hiring and training them.Since 2015, shortly...
